Aura Minerals Advises of Fatality from Vehicle Accident Outside Sao Francisco Mine
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 10/27/10 -- Aura Minerals Inc. ('Aura Minerals' or the 'Company') (TSX: ORA) regretfully advises that an employee of Fagundes Construcao e Mineracao Ltda. ('Fagundes'), the mining contractor at the Company's Sao Francisco mine, was fatally injured in a two vehicle accident on Monday afternoon on the municipal road between the mine and the town of Pontes e Lacerda in Mato Grosso, Brazil. Another Fagundes employee was severely hurt and several others sustained non-life threatening injuries. The Fagundes employees were traveling to work for their regular shift when their bus and a Company vehicle collided. The families of those injured and all relevant authorities have been contacted and an investigation into the accident has commenced.
