Sennen Resources Ltd.: Clarification of Disclosure
In this regard, the Company withdraws disclosure contained in its October 15, 2012 news release with respect to its Monument Potash Project located in Utah and Colorado (the "October 15, 2012 Release") (as incorporated by reference in its December 20, 2012 news release) under the heading "Historical Resource Estimates" and the references to a specific potash grade, as well as the same disclosure contained in its Management Discussion and Analysis for the nine months ended October 31, 2012 (as filed on SEDAR on December 28, 2012) under the heading "Historical Resource Estimates" (the "Non-Compliant Disclosure"), as such disclosure is not compliant with National Instrument 43 101 ("NI 43 101"). Without limiting the generality of the foregoing, the Company in particular retracts its disclosure of historical potash resource estimates and confirms that there are no valid current or historical estimates on the property.
The Non-Compliant Disclosure references a report prepared for Paradox Basin Resources Corp. (the "Paradox Report") as the source for the historical resource estimate disclosed, however such report is not in accordance with NI 43-101, and the NI 43-101 technical report dated October 1, 2012 prepared by Sears, Barry & Associates Limited prepared for the Company, as filed on SEDAR on December 19, 2012, states there are no historical resource estimates. Further, the Non-Compliant Disclosure references a fixed potash grade and thus is regarded as being potentially misleading.
The Paradox Report does provide that one of at least two known potash horizons ranging in thickness from 13 to 30 feet underlies the project area at an average depth of 6,900 feet. Based on a specific gravity of 2.0 and an average thickness ranging from 13 to 30 feet, it is estimated that each 1 mile square area has the potential to contain between 20.7 and 47.1 million metric tonnes of sylvinite (a mixture of the potash mineral sylvite, KCl and the common salt halite, NaCl). Geophysical logs of oil and gas wells on the project area indicate a possible concentration of 25-30% K2O in the horizons, grades that are typical of Paradox Basin potash deposits. The potential quality and grade set out herein is conceptual in nature and there has been insufficient exploration to define a mineral resource. It is uncertain if further exploration will result in the target being delineated as a mineral resource.
In addition to withdrawing the Non-Compliant Disclosure, the Company has taken down the Corporate Presentation on its website as it contained similar disclosure and will update its technical disclosure in accordance with this news release.
The disclosure of technical and scientific information in this news release was approved by Ian T. Rozier, M.Sc, P.Eng, a qualified person under NI 43 101, who is an officer and director of the Company.
Neither the TSX Venture Exchange (the "TSXV") nor its Regulation Services Provider (as that term is defined in the policies of the TSXV) has reviewed, nor do they accept responsibility for the adequacy or accuracy of, this release.
