New World Resource's Partner, MARTE, Commences Underground Exploration Work at the Lipena Project
Prior to commencing construction of the adit, MARTE undertook a surface sampling program to identify a structure containing high-grade silver ("Ag") discovered during previous rotary drilling carried out in 1995 by a subsidiary of the former Battle Mountain Gold Company. Historical rotary drill hole LP-04 contained 1,253 grams per tonne ("g/t") Ag over 6 metres, which included 3,900 g/t Ag over 1.5 metres. The high-grade Ag structure appears continuous to surface with a series of veins and veinlets sampled ranging in thickness from 0.1 metres to 1.5 metres.
MARTE is a partner with New World and pursuant to the amended option agreement (reported October 11, 2012), MARTE has been granted an option to acquire 37.4% of the Company's 75% interest in Lipeña by paying US$500,000 (paid), paying an additional US$250,000 on or before December 25, 2012, and by spending US$1,250,000 in exploration expenditures over the next 12 months.
New World Resources CEO, John Lando commented, "The Company is pleased to have MARTE commence an exploration program that will provide the Company and MARTE with an added understanding of the economic potential of the Lipeña project."
Exploration work on the Lipeña-Bonete project is under the supervision of Brian McEwen, P.Geol., B.Sc. (Geo), the Company's Chief Operating Officer, who is a "qualified person", as defined in NI 43 101, and is responsible for the preparation of the technical information contained in this news release.
The historical drill results were prepared prior to the implementation of 43-101, and are not compliant with 43-101. The Company is not aware of any subsequent drill results and there has not yet been sufficient work completed to confirm the accuracy of the historical results; therefore, these results should not be relied upon.
