Katanga Mining appoints new Cfo
ZUG, SWITZERLAND, Nov. 20, 2012 /CNW/ - Katanga Mining Limited (TSX: KAT) ("Katanga" or the "Company") today announced that Mr. Nico Paraskevas, Chief Financial Officer of the Company, has resigned effective immediately to pursue other interests. Mr. Paraskevas will remain available to ensure a smooth transition of responsibilities.
Mr. Paul Inbona, who joined the Company in September 2012 as Group Financial Director, will serve as the new Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of the Company effective immediately. Mr. Inbona began his career as Financial Consultant and Auditor with Arthur Andersen & Co in Paris and subsequently as an audit Manager in their Johannesburg office. In 2003 he joined the Wasteman Group in Johannesburg as Group CFO and in 2006 he took the role of Finance Director of Ruashi Mining (Metorex Group). From February 2009 to August 2012 Mr. Inbona was CFO of Mutanda Mining SPRL, a Democratic Republic of Congo based subsidiary of Glencore International Plc. Mr. Inbona holds a Master of Science in Engineering from École Centrale Paris (France) and a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD (France).
