Canada Strategic Metals Announces Election of Board of Directors

Vancouver, British Columbia - November 5, 2012 - Today, Canada Strategic Metals Inc. ("Canada Strategic Metals" or the "Company") (TSX.V: CJC; FSE: YXEN; OTC-BB: CJCFF) is pleased to announce the following individuals were elected as the Company's board of directors at the Annual General Meeting held today: Ron MacDonald, Mark Baggio, Chad McMillan, Jean-Sebastien Lavallee, Jenna-Lee Hardy and Eileen Hao.

The Company welcomes new Directors Jenna-Lee Hardy and Eileen Hao to the Canada Strategic Metals team and looks forward to benefitting from their considerable mining exploration and business development experience. Jean-Sebastien Lavallee, President & CEO of the Company since September 4, 2012, has also been elected as a Director of the Company. Information regarding Mr. Lavallee, Ms. Hardy and Ms. Hao is provided below.


Jean-Sebastien Lavallee

Mr. Lavallee, P. Geo, has been active in mining exploration since 1994. He is the vice president of Consul-Teck Exploration Inc., a consulting firm of Val-d'Or founded in 2003 that specializes in mining exploration in northern areas. Most of the firm's mandates involve the generation and execution of projects in remote areas. Mr. Lavallee has acted as a geologist for many companies, including Eloro Resources Ltd., Uracan Resources Ltd., Agnico-Eagle Mines Ltd., Noranda Minerals Inc., Champion Minerals Inc., Matamec Explorations Inc., Atlanta Gold Inc., and is currently President and CEO of Critical Elements Corp. (TSX.V: CRE). Having been responsible for the planning and execution of many exploration programs in recent years, Mr. Lavallee has acquired a solid experience in exploration project development.


Jenna-Lee Hardy

Ms. Hardy, M.Sc, MBA, P.Geo., Hon. F.E.C., is an accomplished mining professional with over 25 years of experience in project management, corporate due diligence and governance, property exploration and evaluation as well as environmental compliance in Canada, US, Mexico and South America. From 1996 to 2004, she served as the Manager of Health Safety Environment with Pan American Silver Corp. (NASDAQ: PAAS, TSX: PAA) where she was responsible for corporate oversight of health, safety and environmental issues at operating subsidiaries in Peru, Mexico and Bolivia, as well as development projects in Argentina, Canada and the USA, and where she was involved in the re-opening, greening and expansion of large-scale historic operations at the Quiruvilca and Huaron Mines in Peru and at the Cozamin and La Colorada Mines in Mexico. Since 2006 she has worked with Commerce Resources Corp (TSX.V: CCE; FSE: D7H; OTCQX: CMRZF) as Manager Environmental Regulatory and Technical Services and as Project Manager for the Blue River Ta-Nb project is moving from exploration towards development. In addition, Ms. Hardy has been Principal of Nimbus Management Ltd since 1986. Nimbus Management Ltd is a consulting firm that provides project management, environmental, corporate development and governance services to junior natural resource companies In Mexico and Canada. She is active as a director for Argentex Mining Corporation (TSX.V: ATX; OTCQB:AGXMF), Commerce Resources Corp, Critical Elements Corporation (CNSX: CRE), and Camisha Resources Corp. (TSX Venture: CRN).


Eileen Hao

Eileen Hao completed her M.S.c in China and subsequently trained in mineral processing and geology in the UK. She joined ECC International in 1993 as China Project Manager, working on setting up ECC's industrial mineral projects and business development in China. In 1997, she became Commercial Manager of ECC (later Imerys) in China, responsible for managing Imerys ceramic business in China, sourcing and exporting Chinese industrial minerals, business development and new project establishment, investment and acquisitions for Imerys Group. Since 2007 Eileen has worked as an independent consultant developing business strategies, conducting market studies for clients as well as to help clients to establish business in China. Her assignments include many different kinds of minerals and metals, covering resources, processing, marking and applications.

All of the resolutions the shareholders of the Company were asked to consider at the Annual General Meeting were approved.
