Starfield Reports Results For First Quarter Ended May 31, 2012
During the three months ended May 31, 2012, Starfield incurred costs for exploration totaling $60,000. The expenditures were directed primarily toward property maintenance at the Ferguson Lake and Stillwater properties. Administrative expenditures amounted to $400,000.
On May 7, 2012, the Company sold 179 mining claims in its Stillwater property to Stillwater Mining Company for US$2 million. The funds will be used for working capital and exploration in Canada and the United States.
As at July 11, 2012 the Company had approximately $2.2 million of cash on hand.
Starfield is continuing to review strategic alternatives for the Company and its assets.
