Silver Mountain Appoints Advisors to the Board of Directors

CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire - June 13, 2012) - Silver Mountain Mines Inc. (TSX VENTURE:SMM) ("Silver Mountain" or the "Company") is pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Michael Petrina, P.ENG. and Mr. Douglas Pocock, CFA as advisors to the Board of Directors.

Michael Petrina, P.ENG., is currently Vice President, Operations at MAG Silver and has over 25 years of extensive experience in operations, engineering, mine development, financial modeling and acquisition analysis, and is a past technical advisor and engineering consultant for numerous mining companies. He is a graduate mining engineer from Queen's University, a Professional Engineer (P.ENG. Mining) registered in British Columbia and holds an MBA from the University of Athabasca. Mr. Petrina recently held the position of Vice President Mining, for Hawthorne Gold Corp. and has previously worked with Candente Resource Corp., Adriana Resources Ltd., Adanac Molybdenum Corporation, Pan American Silver Corporation and Breakwater Resources Ltd.

Douglas Pocock, CFA, is currently Chief Executive Officer of Mission Hills Capital Partners and has more than 25 years of experience in capital markets and investment management experience. Mr. Pocock has worked as a private equity investment executive and investment banker at both bank-owned and independent Canadian investment firms where he advised multiple private and public corporations in a wide array of industries, including mining, with regard to domestic and international strategy, capital markets and financing initiatives. Mr. Pocock received a Bachelor of Arts Honors, Business Administration from The University of Western Ontario in 1979 and earned the designation, Chartered Financial Analyst, in 1986.
