International Mining Project Manager, Pierre J. Lafleur Joins Pershimco's Board of Directors

ROUYN-NORANDA, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 02/06/12 -- Pershimco Resources Inc. (the 'Corporation' or 'Pershimco') (TSX VENTURE: PRO) (FRANKFURT: BIZ) is pleased to announce the nomination of Mr. Pierre J. Lafleur, P.Eng, as a director of the Corporation. Following a marked evolution of Pershimco requiring to move towards a development phase, Mr. Pierre J. Lafleur will succeed to Mr. Jean Lafleur as a director. Mr. Jean Lafleur ceases also his functions as officer of Pershimco.

Mr. Pierre J. Lafleur speaks fluently French, English and Spanish and has been working internationally as an independent Consulting Engineer (Geology) as well as for various major mining companies including BHP-Billiton, Goldcorp and Xstrata.

He specialized in property evaluation, mineral resource estimation and various aspects of exploration and mining project management, including economic analysis, using detailed computer models. Pierre gives training and conferences as well as writes articles and papers on resources modeling.

He has extensive experience in base metal and precious metal, including grade control and quality control of production. He is familiar with open pit operation of various sizes. Pierre has practical and extensive experience in applying geostatistics to mineral resource modeling and he is mastering most advanced computer software packages available to the mining industry. He is a qualified person in accordance with the National Policy 43-101 and has been involved in feasibility studies with renowned engineering firms like SNC-Lavalin.
