VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire - April 28, 2011) - Frontera Copper Corporation (“Frontera“ or the “Company“) (TSX: FCC.NT) (TSX: FCC.NT.A) announces that further to the Company's April 18, 2011 news release announcing a delay in the filing of the Company's financial statements for the year ended December 31, 2010, including the related management discussion and analysis, annual information form and CEO and CFO certifications (collectively, the “Required Documents“), the required Documents are expected to be filed on April 30, 2011. This estimate is based on assurances from the Company's auditors.There is no disagreement with the auditors in connection with audit scope or accounting matters. The management cease trade order will continue to be in effect until the Required Documents are filed.
Until the Required Documents are filed, the Company intends to provide information in accordance with National Policy 12-203 Cease Trade Orders for Continuous Disclosure Defaults.
