Oremex Gold Inc. Adds Rosalind Wilson to the Board of Directors
- She is a Special Advisor to the Executive Board and to the Canadian Mining Task Force in Mexico

TORONTO, Oct. 20, 2011 - Oremex Gold Inc. (“Oremex Gold“ or the “Company“) (TSX VENTURE: OAU) is pleased to announce the appointment of Ms. Rosalind Wilson to the Company's Board of Directors.
John Carlesso, Executive Chairman of the Board, commented: “We are excited to have Rosalind join the Oremex Gold team. She brings a wealth of knowledge, experience and relationships within the highest levels of the Mexican business, mining and political communities. She will be instrumental in providing guidance to the Company on a broad range of matters as Oremex Gold continues to explore and develop its world-class gold Projects.“
Rosalind Wilson represents the Canadian Pacific Railway (CPR) in Mexico and is the former President of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico. In 1996, Rosalind began her career in Mexico as a member of a consulting firm where she led significant trade and investment projects for public and private companies in the Environment, Energy and Transportation sectors. In 1998, she participated in studies concerning the privatization of the railway systems and ports in Mexico. Later on, she joined the South East Railway (Ferrosur) during the transition from the public to private sector. In 2000, she opened the Mexican office of the Canadian Pacific Railway.
Ms. Wilson was also the President of the Mexican Canadian Mining Task Force which led a series of advocacy and Corporate Social Responsibility initiatives that positioned Canadian Mining companies in Mexico. During her two term presidency, the Mining Task Force was established as a respected voice of the Canadian Mining investment community in Mexico. She is currently on the Executive Committee of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in Mexico as well as a Special advisor to the Executive Committee and the Mining Task Force.
Ms. Wilson was appointed Co-Chair of the Trade, Investment, and Innovation Working Group for the CMP (Canada Mexico Partnership). She is also President of the Foreign Committee of the Mexican Railway Association (AMF).
The appointment of Ms. Wilson remains subject to the receipt of regulatory approval.
