Robex Resources Inc./Update on Metallurgical Testwork on Nampala Ore: Significant Reduction in Cyanidation Time
QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/11 -- Ressources Robex Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RBX)(FRANKFURT: RB4) is pleased to announce the results of its laboratory testing program for improving performance of the recovery process by adding a gravity circuit. Results obtained by Vancouver-based AcmeMet Labs are encouraging and hint at a significant reduction in cyanidation time while maintaining a recovery rate of 88.5% and a low cyanide consumption of 0.45 kg/mt.
The best result breaks down as follows:
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Product Percentage of gold recovery
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gravity concentrate 19.7%
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Gold extraction after 8 hours 68.7%
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Total recovery 88.5%
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Previous testing without the gravity circuit produced results equivalent to 88% based on a minimum 30-hour cyanidation timeframe (see press release dated February 16, 2010).
Additional testing will be conducted in the coming weeks to confirm or improve these results, which hold the potential for significant savings in capital costs and operation.
Operating permit pending approval from Malian authorities
Following submission of the feasibility study to the National Directorate of Geology and Mines (DNGM) on November 15, Robex was convened to a hearing on December 2, in front of a panel of more than 20 people at the DNGM. At that time, Mr. Andre Gagne, Robex president and CEO, Mr. Florent Baril, Bumigeme president, and Mr. Abdel Kader Maiga, Robex Mali CEO, presented the project and answered questions from the panel; the dossier was endorsed by the DNGM by meeting close. The dossier will be referred to the Ministry of Mines by mid-December for the issuance of the mining permit. In addition, Robex is very pleased to have already received the environmental permit for the project.
