Agrium Announces Increased Dividend
CALGARY, ALBERTA -- (Marketwire) -- 12/14/11 -- ALL AMOUNTS ARE STATED IN U.S.$ UNLESS OTHERWISE INDICATED
Agrium Inc. (TSX: AGU) (NYSE: AGU) announced today that the Board of Directors has approved a quadrupling of Agrium's cash dividend on common stock to $0.225 per share on a semi-annual basis, up from the previous semi-annual dividend of $0.055 per share. The $0.225 per share dividend will be paid January 19, 2012 to shareholders of record on January 1, 2012.

All dividends paid by Agrium Inc. are, pursuant to subsection 89(14) of the Income Tax Act, designated as eligible dividends. An eligible dividend paid to a Canadian resident is entitled to the enhanced dividend tax credit.
