Assay Results Announced From the 2011 Drilling Program at Champion Minerals' Attikamagen Project, Near the Town of Schefferville, Quebec
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 12/08/11 -- CHAMPION MINERALS INC. (TSX: CHM)(FRANKFURT: P02) ('Champion' or the 'Company') reports that earlier today Century Iron Mines Corp. ('Century Iron') announced the second group of assay results from its 2011 exploration program at Champion's wholly-owned Attikamagen Project (under option to Century Iron), located in north-eastern Quebec and western Labrador, near the town of Schefferville, Quebec.
As reported by Century Iron, the 2011 summer drilling program focused on potential taconite and 'direct shipping ore' ('DSO(1)') targets near Hayot Lake, Quebec and Joyce Lake, in western Labrador, respectively. A total of 10,884 metres of combined diamond and RC drilling was completed during the 2011 drilling program, from April 8 to October 30, 2011. Century Iron further reported that it is preparing for the next phase of drilling, which is expected to resume February 2012 on the Joyce Lake resource.
