Dia Bras Reports Illegal Demonstration at Yauricocha
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 10/21/11 -- Dia Bras Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE: DIB) ('Dia Bras' or the 'Company') reports an illegal demonstration at the Company's Yauricocha property, resulting in a road blockade halting access to trucks carrying concentrates to Lima. Additionally, a small group of demonstrators illegally entered onto the property causing minor damage.
Notwithstanding the illegal demonstration and resulting violence, we have not stopped any of our operations at Yauricocha.
In addition, we have informed the corresponding government authorities of the events that have taken place and expect that the appropriate legal measures be taken to ensure order is re-established. Nevertheless, we continue to foster a dialogue with representatives of the communities from the area with constant mediation from the corresponding government authorities.
