Silver Standard Announces Senior Management Change
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/15/11 -- Silver Standard Resources Inc. (TSX: SSO)(NASDAQ: SSRI) ('Silver Standard' or the 'Company') announced today that Tom S. Q. Yip, Vice President and Chief Financial Officer will resign from the Company effective August 31, 2011, and return to the United States to spend more time with his family.

Tom is committed to ensuring a seamless transition. Matthew Freeman, Corporate Controller, will assume responsibilities for the Company's accounting and finance functions on an interim basis while the Company completes a comprehensive search for Tom's successor.
