Padbury Mining Limited (ASX:PDY) Appointed Environmental Consultants for Flora and Fauna Surveys at Peak Hill Iron Project
Perth, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Padbury Mining Limited (ASX:PDY) has appointed environmental consultants GHD to undertake spring flora and fauna assessments at its flagship Peak Hill Iron Project on behalf of the joint venture partners Padbury and Aurium Resources Limited (ASX:AGU).
Spring and autumn flora and fauna surveys are a critical component of the government environmental approvals process and will be undertaken at Peak Hill's key Mt Padbury and Telecom Hill tenements.
Padbury Managing Director Gary Stokes said making an early start on baseline studies was important to try and avoid delays in project development.
'The environmental approvals process is rigorous and time consuming and project progress can be significantly held up as a result,' he said.
'The joint venturers will ensure we undertake all work necessary to meet the government's environmental requirements.'
Work on the flora and fauna surveys has started and will include a desktop assessment, a reconnaissance field survey by a botanist and zoologist and the reporting of the results.
