LUXEMBOURG, LUXEMBOURG -- (Marketwire) -- 07/19/11 -- Northland Resources S.A. (TSX: NAU)(OSLO: NAUR)(FRANKFURT: NPK) ('Northland' or 'the Company') is pleased to announce the completion of some significant progress at the Company's Kaunisvaara Project site. (The press release includes 4 photos - for more photos please log on to www.northland.eu).
'The project is proceeding according to plan. The most concrete verification of this is the ongoing casting for the processing plant,' said Goran Arlefalk, Northland's Kaunisvaara Project Manager. 'During the last days we have poured 1,200 tonnes of concrete to ensure a firm foundation for the two primary gyratory crushers, two autogenous grinding mills, seven vertical grinding mills ('VTM 3000'), magnetic separators and seven VPA press filters. These mills will be the heart of the operation, which expect to produce 5 million tonnes of high-grade iron ore concentrate per annum.'
The current workforce totals 100 employees and it is expected to grow to 375 to complete the scheduled work for the fall.
To follow the work, including the continued casting, the building ancillary roads as well as the process water dam, Northland will be providing updated photos, films and a live camera feed in the Multimedia section of its website, www.northland.eu.
