Robex Resources Inc.: Richard Faucher Named Chairman of the Board of Directors
QUEBEC CITY, QUEBEC -- (Marketwire) -- 06/01/11 -- Robex Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE: RBX)(FRANKFURT: RB4) is very pleased to announce the appointment of Mr. Richard Faucher as chair of the Robex Board of Directors. Mr. Faucher will replace Mr. Michel Doyon who performed remarkable work as chairman of the Board. Mr. Doyon will continue to play a highly active role within the company in his tenure as a Director with Robex.
Mr. Faucher was elected chairman of the Board of Directors of Robex at the company's annual Board meeting held on May 27, 2011. Elected as well were Mr. Claude Goulet who will take over as interim Chief Financial Officer and Dominique Thomas who was named as the company Secretary.
Robex Announces Additions to the Board of Directors
At the Robex Resources (RBX-V) annual shareholder meeting held on May 27, 2011, two new directors, Mr. Jean-Luc Roy and Mr. Christian Marti, were elected to the Board of Directors. Both Mr. Roy and Mr. Marti will be an excellent addition to the Robex team especially considering their significant and broad expertise in the development of mining projects. The addition of Mr. Roy and Mr. Marti will significantly complement and strengthen Robex's technical consulting team which now includes specialists from each of the mining industry major sectors
Mr. Roy has over 20 years experience in the mining industry with the majority of his experience being from his work in Africa with such companies as International Gold Resources Inc., Ashanti Goldfields Inc., Semafo Inc. and First Quantum Minerals Ltd. Within these companies, Mr. Roy managed complex and innovative projects from exploration through to the production phase and has extensive experience in negotiations at all levels. Mr. Roy played a crucial role in First Quantum Minerals' success in the Democratic Republic of Congo by successfully placing a mining operation into production during a period of major unrest within the country. This resulted in the company moving from a $250 million dollar market cap to becoming a major multi-billion dollar enterprise. He is currently the Chief Operations Officer of Ampella Mining Ltd.; an Australia-based company engaged in the discovery and development of gold mining properties in Burkina Faso. He is also a director and member of the Audit Committee and the Compensation Committee of Can Alaska Uranium Ltd.; a TSX-V listed company.
Mr. Christian Marti has over 30 years experience as a senior executive in developing and managing mining projects in North America, Africa, Central America and Asia for a wide range of mineral portfolios. He was project manager and consultant for SNC Lavalin and responsible for the completion of a feasibility study for the Canadian Royalties Inc. Nunavick nickel mine project in 2006. Mr. Marti was also the General Director of Nuiphaovica Mining Joint venture in Vietnam; a 70% owned subsidiary of Tiberon Minerals Ltd. Since 2008, he has been a director with the Business Development-Mining Industry for GENIVAR. Mr. Marti is a mining engineer and member of the Quebec Order of Engineers.
