Premier Gold Mines Limited Appoints Tim Twomey as Vice President Exploration

THUNDER BAY, ON, Dec. 14 /CNW/ - Premier Gold Mines Limited (TSX: PG) is very pleased to announce that Mr. Tim Twomey has accepted an appointment with the company as Vice President Exploration. Tim has worked with Premier Gold Mines since 2008 as Exploration Manager overseeing Premier's extensive exploration programs.

Tim is a professional geologist with over 25 years of exploration, production and management experience. He has brought to Premier a "golden" track record that includes playing a key role in Goldcorp's "High-Grade Zone" discovery, development and production at Red Lake. The High-Grade Zone is one of the most important gold discoveries made in the last 20 years. It is an unparalleled mining success and regarded as the highest grade gold mine in the world. Prior to his tenure at Premier, Tim was Senior Exploration Geologist with Goldcorp's Regional Exploration Team in the Red Lake Area.

Prior to Goldcorp, Tim explored for base and precious metals in mines and bush camps of Northern Ontario and Saskatchewan, including the Thunder Bay and Kirkland Lake regions. He graduated from Lakehead University in Thunder Bay, in 1983 with an Honours B.Sc. degree in Geology.
