Cameco Investor Webcast Advisory
Cameco (TSX: CCO) (NYSE: CCJ) will webcast proceedings from its investor workshop on international financial reporting standards (IFRS) Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 12:30 p.m. Eastern.
The Accounting Standards Board requires Canadian publicly accountable enterprises to adopt IFRS effective January 1, 2011. The conceptual framework of IFRS is similar to Canadian generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP), but there are differences in areas such as measurement and disclosure.
Cameco's senior vice-president and chief financial officer Kim Goheen and vice-president, controller Kelly Orr will discuss current estimates of the most significant differences in our IFRS balances as at January 1, 2010 and between our Canadian GAAP and IFRS earnings for the three month periods ended March 31 and June 30, 2010.
A live webcast will be available on Cameco's website at cameco.com by using Windows Media Player or Real Player software. For more details, see the link on the homepage on Thursday, December 9. A replay of the presentation will be available shortly following the workshop and will be available on our website.
Cameco, with its head office in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, is one of the world's largest uranium producers.
