Atlas Iron Limited - Managing Director David Flanagan Named National Winner in 2010 Ernst and Young Entreprenuer of The Year Awards
Perth, Australia (ABN Newswire) - Atlas Iron Limited (ASX: AGO) is pleased to announce that its Managing Director, Mr. David Flanagan, has been named a National winner, Listed category, in the 2010 Australian Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year awards. David Flanagan joins other outstanding entrepreneurs from across Australia who have been named an Australian category winner in the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur Of The Year.
David Flanagan is the founding Managing Director of Atlas Iron. Mr. Flanagan listed Atlas Iron on ASX in December 2004 and has lead Atlas from a junior exploration company to mid-tier iron ore producer.
Atlas Iron has grown from humble beginnings to now employing over 300 people with a production rate of 6Mtpa and operating from two mines in the Pilbara. Mr. Flanagan has been instrumental in ensuring Atlas Iron has signed three Native Title Agreements in the Pilbara. Mr Flanagan is the founding patron of the Many River Opportunities micro finance charity for potential indigenous entrepreneurs in Australia. Mr. Flanagan is also a director of the charity, Youth Focus.

Atlas Iron Limited (ASX:AGO) is mining and exporting from its 100%-owned Pardoo and Wodgina Iron Ore projects, located 75 kilometres and 110km by road from Port Hedland in the Pilbara region of Western Australia.
