Western Troy Reports Additional Assay and Geophysical Results, and Stakes 149 Additional Claims on Its Deborah Lake Property, Quebec
TORONTO, ONTARIO -- (Marketwire) -- 09/27/10 -- Western Troy Capital Resources (TSX VENTURE: WRY) (Western Troy) reports it has received detailed assay results on its 100 percent owned Deborah Lake Copper/Gold Prospect near Schefferville in Quebec. On September 13, 2010, Western Troy published preliminary analytical results on the Deborah Lake Prospect (http://www.westerntroy.com/9-13-10.pdf) which showed many samples assayed above 0.5 percent copper. Below is a table showing the actual results. Samples above 0.5 percent copper are in bold print.

The average assay for all of the samples taken is 0.64 percent copper. Sample 878235 also showed 4.2 grams per tonne gold. Samples 878223 and 878238 showed 0.13 percent and 0.11 percent nickel respectively. Other gold and nickel assays were insignificant. Assays were performed at Accurassay Laboratories, Thunder Bay. Gold, Platinum and Palladium analyses were done by fire assay. All other analyses were done by Aqua Regia Digestion with an ICP-OES finish.
Samples were taken from boulders and sub-crop, which appear to be frost-heaved bedrock, and were taken over an area of approximately one square kilometer (see Figure 1 below). The results indicate a strongly mineralized intrusive system. Geophysics indicate an intrusive system that is roughly triangular with dimensions of nine by eleven kilometers. Readers should be aware that such results are simply an indicator of high grade copper mineralization and do not assure an economic mineral discovery.
Figure 1 below shows the sample locations. The higher grade samples are shown as green boxes. The X's indicate geophysical anomalies that have yet to be tested.

Figure 2 below shows the results of an airborne magnetic survey of the Deborah Lake Region released by the Quebec government in 2010. The smaller white area with the dotted outline shows the sampled area described in Figure 1 above. The geophysical survey shows a sub-circular magnetic high that is thought to be due to a mafic to ultramafic intrusion. Past mapping has shown the presence of peridotite within the anomalous area.

Western Troy's VP of Exploration commented, 'These assays and associated geophysical surveys indicate a very strong intrusive system that has not seen significant exploration activity. It is extremely rare to find such encouraging results on a prospect in North America.'
Based on these results, Western Troy has staked an additional 149 claims over the area (Western Troy staked 50 claims previously in the area earlier this year). Western Troy's prospecting crew has brought in a small excavator to dig trenches for channel sampling. Results from this work should be available in late October or November of this year. Geophysical surveys are planned for the winter season to generate drill targets for subsequent core drilling.
