Geologix Explorations Inc.: Tepal Metallurgical Test Work Delivers Positive Results

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA -- (Marketwire) -- 08/03/10 -- Geologix Explorations Inc. (TSX: GIX)(FRANKFURT: GF6)(BERLIN: GF6)(STUTTGART: GF6)(MUNICH: GF6) (the 'Company' or 'Geologix') is pleased to announce it has completed extensive sulphide metallurgical test work on the Tepal Project sulphide resource and has received favourable recoveries of 87.4% for copper and 60.7% for gold.

A high quality commercial concentrate was produced grading 25.1% copper, 32.2 grams per tonne ('g/t') gold (1.03 ounces per ton) and 40.9 g/t silver (1.31 ounces per ton). The concentrate is clean with no smelter penalties identified to date, and requires only a primary coarse grind of 134 microns (approx. 100 Mesh) before processing.

When we internally assessed the Tepal project's resource and recovery during our due diligence period earlier this year, we used lower recovery rates than those returned from our latest test work. However, looking at these recovery rates, the coarse grind size, and the highly saleable concentrate produced, we expect this to impact favourably upon our Preliminary Economic Assessment work currently being conducted by SRK Consulting of Vancouver, British Columbia. This initial indication of the project's potential positive economics, coupled with the current 5,000 metre resource expansion drilling campaign, provides the Company with significant encouragement for the ongoing advancement of this project.'

Core samples used in the metallurgical testing were collected in both the North and South Zones of the Tepal resource and were blended to a metal grade equal to the grade of the resource. Additionally, samples were selected to spatially represent the average sulphide ore. The tests were completed on both the North and South Zones and weight averaged by zone resource tonnages to derive an average recovery, concentrate grade, and grind size for the deposit. Flotation test work was completed by G&T Metallurgical Services Ltd., Kamloops, British Columbia.

Ongoing oxide metallurgical test work is nearing completion with a similar deposit representative sample selection. Column tests are being conducted by McClelland Laboratories, Sparks, Nevada and are expected to be completed by mid August.
