VANCOUVER, August 03, 2017 - Spanish Mountain Gold Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE: SPA) announces that due to his other personal commitments, Ian Watson has decided to step down as Chairman but will remain a Director of the Company. The Company wishes to thank Mr. Watson for his service as the Chairman since March 2011 and looks forward to his continuing involvement as a Director and a major shareholder.
