Alpha Natural Resources Announces Opening of Registration for Stockholders for Financial Reports and Informational Meeting

KINGSPORT, Tenn., April 18, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Alpha Natural Resources announces the following regarding the provision of financial information for ANR, Inc. and Alpha Natural Resources Holdings, Inc. with the  opening of registration for its controlled-access web portal for disseminating financial reports to stockholders.  ANR, Inc. stockholders can download the web portal registration and certificate on the company's website:

http://www.alphanr.com/Pages/Investors.aspx. 

In addition, stockholders can now register for the informational meeting to be held on May 3, 2017, at 10 a.m. at the J. W. Marriott Essex House Hotel in New York City by downloading forms at the same web address.

Completed forms should be emailed to IR@alphanr.com or mailed to ANR, Inc., 1989 East Stone Dr., Kingsport, TN, 37660, Attn: Investor Relations. Forms should be sent no later than April 28, 2017.    

As discussed in its letter to stockholders dated March 20, 2017, the only assets Alpha Natural Resources Holdings, Inc. possesses are the shares of ANR that it owns. There is no material financial activity in this entity at present; therefore, unless and until there is a distribution by ANR to its stockholders, there is no current plan to create audited financial results or provide them to stockholders.
