Helix Resources Limited: Appoints Non-Executive Chairman

Perth - Helix Resources Ltd. (ASX:HLX) is pleased to announce the appointment of experienced mining executive, Mr Gary Lethridge as the Company's Non-Executive Chairman, effective 9 March 2017.Mr Lethridge brings extensive experience to the Helix Board. He is a Chartered Accountant and Chartered Secretary with significant experience in corporate strategy, capital & debt markets, transaction origination and execution, mining operations, project development and exploration.
Most recently, Mr Lethridge was the Managing Director of Talisman Mining Ltd. (ASX:TLM); a role that he held for in excess of seven years. Prior to this he held the position of Executive General Manager - Corporate, Chief Financial Officer & Company Secretary at Jubilee Mines NL, where he was part of the highly successful senior executive management team from 2003 until that company's acquisition by Xstrata plc (OTCMKTS:XSRAY) for $3.1 billion in early 2008. Preceding that role, Mr Lethridge held senior executive positions with LionOre Mining International Ltd..
Mr Lethridge brings invaluable knowledge and skills that will compliment the Helix management team as the Company continues to advance its quality asset portfolio which includes the Cobar Gold Project and the Collerina Copper Project, both located in Central NSW.
