Canadian Zeolite Appoints Donald J. “Buck” Ross to Advisory Board
Vancouver, British Columbia (FSCwire) - Canadian Zeolite Corp. (the “Company”) (TSX.V: CNZ) (OTCQB: CNZCF) (FSE: ZEON) Mr. Ray Paquette CEO is pleased to welcome Mr. Donald J. “Buck” Ross as an Advisor to the Company. “Mr. Ross is a highly-respected entrepreneur in the agricultural industry and we welcome his extensive experience and expertise. He is a proponent of “green-tech” and recognizes the many benefits in introducing Canadian Zeolite's natural zeolite to growing mediums, animal feeds and composting,” stated CEO Ray Paquette
Mr. Ross is a 4th generation farmer who lives on the family farm in Moorefield, Ontario. Their farm is approximately 1000 acres and consists of cash crops (soya beans, corn, wheat, canola and flax) laying hens, free range turkeys, apiculture (honey bees) and wood lot management.
Ross Enterprises is a strong believer in managing environmental sustainability. Buck has planted 100,000 trees for windbreaks, and improved water quality by protecting natural wet lands and wildlife. Buck is partnered with Ducks Unlimited, the Grand River Conservation Authority, Tree Canada and the Ministry of Natural Resources. He has been recognized and is on the honor roll of the Grand River Conservation for sustainable agriculture and water quality. He also has solar panels that generate enough green commercial energy to power approximately 400 homes.
He has developed Functional foods and nutraceuticals and technology for Omega 3 and Vitamin B12 enhanced eggs. This technology has also been used to enhance the Omega 3 content of other foods such as; turkey, chicken, pork and beef.
Mr. Ross consults with Canadian Universities such as the University of Waterloo, University of Guelph and London Health Sciences as well as Harvard, Minnesota State and Cornell in the United States and the College of the Bahamas.
He has also developed markets with Loblaws, Wal-Mart, Sobeys, A&P and many smaller grocers. Ross Enterprises has exported products around the world including the U.S., Europe, Asia, South and Central America, the Middle East and the Bahamas.
Mr. Ross has received many awards such as environmental awards, soil and crop improvement association awards, the Outstanding Young Farmer Award from the Great Lakes Region in 1988 and 1989, the Ontario Land Stewardship award, the marketing award for “Production to Plate” and the Golden Egg award.
He has been a director with the Wellington-Waterloo CFDC for 10 years and also sits on Advisory Boards and Advisory Committees for the mining industry, energy and agriculture sectors and other private and public companies.
