Eastplats announces appointment of Mr. Rowland Wallenius as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary

VANCOUVER, Nov. 28, 2016 /CNW/ - Eastern Platinum Ltd. ("Eastplats" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that Mr. Rowland Wallenius will be joining the Company's senior management team in Vancouver, British Columbia as Chief Financial Officer and Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Wallenius is a Certified Professional Accountant (CPA, CA) whose career and experience span over 20 years in various roles initially in private accounting and audit practice and following that in senior management positions with or consulting to several public mining and industrial companies.  From 2007 to 2014 Mr. Wallenius acted as Chief Financial Officer of the El Boleo copper project in Mexico constructed by Baja Mining Corp. and a group led by Korean Resources Corporation.  Prior to that, he acted in a variety of accounting and finance roles with Augusta Resources Corp., Sargold Resources Corporation and other public issuers.  Over his career, Mr. Wallenius has had extensive experience in public company accounting and reporting as well as project finance, treasury management, project development and construction, risk management, investor relations and corporate development.
