Vanstar Announces Gold Results From PRH Gold Project
LA PRAIRIE, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jul 18, 2016) - The management of Vanstar Mining Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VSR) announces that it has completed an initial drill program on the PRH Gold project, located in the mining region of Rouyn-Noranda, in Abitibi-Temiscamingue.
The drilling program comprised 8 holes totaling 1200 meters and had the following objectives:
- Test by drilling some MMI geochemical anomalies identified in the northern part of the Moriss showing.
- Verify the presence of a fault about 500 meters north of the Moriss zone.
- Check some gaps still open near the surface in the Moriss zone.
Of the three holes drilled to test gold geochemical anomalies, two holes detected anomalous gold zones including hole MO-16-05 which gave an average grade of 0.736 g/t Au over 6 meters in a brecciated zone containing epidote and pyrite over 24.20 meters of anomalous content grading 0.308 g/t Au. Further tests are underway to identify anomalies in copper, zinc, molybdenum and silver.
Hole MO-16-01 drilled to identify a possible fault failed to reveal same. No gold values were identified in the hole.
Holes MO-16-06, MO-16-07 and M0-16-08 were carried out to test an undrilled area near the surface and all have intersected the Moriss zone. The best values ?ÿï?ÿïwere recorded in hole MO-16-08 which revealed a grade of 2.45 g/t Au over 4 meters including 2.5 meters grading 3.56 g/t Au.
The management of the company is preparing another 4 drill hole program in the western part of the Moriss zone. Two holes will test the western extension of hole VM-13-07 (5.55 meters grading 2.09 g/t Au including 2.25 meters grading 3.88 g/t Au). The Company believes that this hole intersected an independent gold structure at Moriss zone.
Two other holes will be implemented to verify some magnetic anomalies located between the Moriss showing and hole VPE-12-53 which intersected a gold and zinc anomalous breccia zone (4.5 meters grading 0.572 g/t Au) about 800 meters west of Moriss.
This work will be supervised by Jeannot Théberge, geologist independent.
