Buccaneer Gold Announces Results of Annual and Special Meeting of Shareholders

TORONTO, May 30, 2016 - Buccaneer Gold Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BGG) (the "Company") is pleased to announce the results of its annual and special meeting of shareholders (the "Meeting") held on May 30, 2016.A total of 21,934,250 common shares of the Company were voted at the Meeting, representing approximately 68.5% of the Company's issued and outstanding shares. At the Meeting, all director nominees listed in the Company's management information circular (the "Circular") dated May 3, 2016 were elected as directors of the Company, as shown in the table below.

In addition, at the Meeting, McGovern, Hurley, Cunningham LLP, Chartered Accountants, were re-appointed as the auditors of the Company until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until their successors are duly appointed, at a remuneration to be fixed by the directors. The Company's shareholders also approved the resolutions described in the Circular to approve the Company's incentive stock option plan and to change the name of the Company from "Buccaneer Gold Corp." to such name as may be approved by the Company's directors,. A resolution to approve the Company's Amended and Restated By-Law Number One was defeated and, accordingly, the Company's By-laws in the form last approved by the Company's shareholders continue to be in effect.
