Premier of BC visits Copper Mountain

VANCOUVER, May 19, 2016 /CNW/ - Copper Mountain Mining Corp. (TSX: CUM) (the "Company" or "Copper Mountain") announce that the Premier of British Columbia visited the Copper Mountain Mine site last Friday, May 13, 2016 as part of the BC Mining Week activities.
Mining is one of BC's largest and oldest industries and BC Mining Week provides an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the contribution of the modern industry to British Columbians. BC Mining Week is declared each year by the Legislature of British Columbia.
Management of the Copper Mountain Mine were please to host Christy Clark, Premier of British Columbia; Linda Larson, MLA Boundary-Similkameen; and Jackie Tegart MLA Fraser-Nicola. Other dignitaries in attendance included Frank Armitage, Mayor of Princeton and former Penticton MLA Bill Barisoff.
The Premier and MLA's attended a lunchen and addressed a large number of community leaders and industry stakeholders in attendance. From there the Premier was escorted to the Copper Mountain Mine site by senior executives and was toured around the Copper Mountain Mine site and provided an opportunity to meet and speak to employee groups and to view the recently installed world's largest cone crusher.
The Premier and MLA's then attended Princeton Mining Day in the town center where everyone from grandpa's with a long history of working at Copper Mountain to newly born babies were in attendance showing their support for mining in BC. One of the big charities that are supported by mining and by the BC Mining Week is the BC Children's Hospital that has benefited by more than $20 million in donations since the Mining for Miracles campaign started back in 1988.
