Cardero Closes First Tranche of Non-Brokered Financing
VANCOUVER, British Columbia, Oct. 23, 2015 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Cardero Resource Corp. ("Cardero" or the "Company") (TSX:CDU) (Frankfurt:CR5) announces that it has closed the first tranche of its non-brokered private placement of up to 10,000,000 shares at $0.15 announced July 27, 2015 to raise gross proceeds of $1,500,000.00. Gross proceeds of $532,500.15 were raised through the sale of 3,550,001 common shares. All shares issued in the first tranche will have a four month hold expiring on February 23, 2016.
The net proceeds will be used to make the initial payment of US$150,000 for the Zonia option payment and for general working capital. Finder's fees may be paid on portions of the private placement.
The Company anticipates that a second tranche of the placement will be closed later in the month.
