Moneta Files Supplement To Information Circular
TIMMINS, ON, Sept. 10, 2015 /CNW/ - Moneta Porcupine Mines Inc. (TSX:ME) (OTC:MPUCF) (XETRA:MOP) (the "Company") announces the SEDAR filing of a supplement to the 2015 Information Circular (the "Supplement") dated April 28, 2015, at the request of the Ontario Securities Commission.
The Supplement, available at www.sedar.com, provides information on the Company's diversity policy, in compliance with disclosure requirements under National Instrument 58-101. The Supplement makes reference to the Policy Regarding the Representation of Women on the Board and in Executive Officer positions.
The Corporation has not adopted a target regarding the representation of women on the Board or in executive officer positions. The Board considers highly-qualified candidates and takes into consideration additional diversity criteria such as age, ethnicity, cultural background, disability and geographical and industry background. Gender diversity is only one element of the diversity criteria that the Board considers important.
The Company currently has one female director on a Board comprised of six, representing 17% of the Board. The Company does not have any women in an executive officer position.
