MGX Minerals Initiates Archeological Assessment Studies at Driftwood Creek Magnesium Project

28.07.2015  |  The Newswire

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA / TheNewswire / July 28, 2015 - MGX Minerals Inc. ("MGX" or the "Company") (CSE: XMG / FKT: 1MG) reports the Company has engaged Tipi Mountain Eco-Cultural Services Ltd. ("Tipi Mountain") to complete an Archeological Overview Assessment (AOA) and Archeological Impact Assessment (AIA) on the Driftwood Creek magnesium project ("Driftwood Creek") located in the Brisco-Driftwood mining district of southeastern British Columbia.

Tipi Mountain has submitted an application to the Archeology Branch of the British Columbia Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations requesting to conduct AOA and AIA studies on behalf of the Company. Approval of the application is expected shortly.

The AOA study, which is currently underway and expected to be completed the first week of August, will evaluate relevant environmental and archaeological documents pertaining to the proposed haulage roads and mine footprint areas at Driftwood Creek. This will be followed by a field survey to further assess and confirm existing environmental and archaeological documents. Tipi Mountain will then prepare an AOA report consistent with the Guidelines for AOA Reporting as published by the Archaeology Branch.

Based on results of the AOA and upon issuance of a Heritage Conservation Act inspection permit, Tipi Mountain will then conduct additional field assessments which will be used to complete a detailed AIA report. The finished AIA report will then be submitted to the Archeology Branch of the British Columbia Ministry of Forests, Land and Natural Resource Operations for review and approval.
