Berkwood Resources announces passing of President R. Brian Buchanan
It is with deep sadness that Berkwood Resources Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX-V: BKR) reports the sudden passing of R. Brian Buchanan, President, founding CEO and Director of the Company. Brian will be greatly missed by his friends and colleagues at Berkwood Resources, and in the mining and investment community. The Board would like to extend our heartfelt condolences to Brian's family.
The Company has appointed long time director, Mr. George Gorzynski, P.Eng., as interim Chief Executive Officer. Mr. Gorzynski has been a Director of the Company since 1997. He has over 30 years of experience in all aspects of mineral exploration, evaluation and management, ranging from grassroots generative programs to mine management. He received a Bachelor of Applied Science (Honours - Mineral Exploration) from the University of Toronto in 1978 and a Master of Applied Science (Economic Geology) from the University of British Columbia in 1986. He is a Professional Engineer registered in the Province of British Columbia.
