VMS Ventures Reports Strike Action by a Trade Union at HudBay's Manitoba Operations
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwired - May 4, 2015) - VMS Ventures Inc. (TSX VENTURE:VMS) (the "Company") reports that on Saturday May 2, 2015 Reed mine operator and 70% JV partner, HudBay Minerals Inc. (Hudbay), announced the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers, Local No. 1848 began a strike at noon on May 2, 2015 at its Manitoba operations. Company COO Neil Richardson states, "The strike action involves a relatively small percentage of the work force at the mine and Hudbay expects to maintain their production guidance. We continue to monitor the situation and remain in communication with the mine Operator."
