Athabasca Nuclear Corporation Appoints Brian Hearst as Director
Calgary, Alberta / TheNewswire / February 17, 2014 - Athabasca Nuclear Corp. (TSX-V: ASC) ("Athabasca Nuclear" or the "Corporation") is pleased to report that it has appointed Mr. Brian Hearst, CA, as an Independent Director of the Corporation and Chair of its Audit Committee.

Mr. Hearst is a Chartered Accountant with over 30 years of experience in the oil and gas industry, including 15 years as Chief Financial Officer of junior and senior public companies, with both international and domestic operations. Mr. Hearst is also a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors of Canada.
Option Grant
Pursuant to its Stock Option Plan, and subject to approval by the TSX Venture Exchange, the Corporation reports that it intends to grant 725,000 stock options to certain Directors and Officers of the Corporation, such stock options having an exercise price of $0.05 per share, a five-year term, and immediate vesting.
