Alpha Exploration Announces Results from the Annual Meeting of Shareholders

Vancouver, British Columbia -- (Newsfile Corp. - September 4, 2014) - Alpha Exploration Inc. (TSXV:AEX) ("Alpha" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that all resolutions presented at Alpha`s annual general meeting were approved by shareholders. These resolutions include setting the number of directors at five, the nomination and election of directors, appointing the auditor, and approving of the stock option plan.Shareholders re-elected the incumbent board consisting of Michael Gunning, Benjamin Ainsworth, James E. Yates, Charles E. Roy, and Warren Stanyer as directors for the ensuing year.
Benjamin Ainsworth has stepped down from his role as president and CEO of the Company, but will continue to serve as a key member of the Technical Committee, working on both current exploration projects and new opportunities for Alpha. The Board wishes to thank Mr. Ainsworth for his invaluable contribution to Alpha, and its predecessors, and looks forward to his continued participation on the Board.
The Board of directors appointed Michael Gunning as interim Chief Executive Officer and Chairman, and Warren Stanyer as interim Chief Operating Officer.
