New shares registered with the Finnish Trade Register



On 12 June 2014, the annual general meeting of shareholders of Talvivaara Mining
Company Plc ("Talvivaara" or the "Company") resolved on the share issue to the
Company without consideration. All 190,615,000 new shares issued have been
registered with the Finnish Trade Register today on 25 July 2014. Following the
registration of the treasury shares, the total number of shares in Talvivaara is
2,096,782,480. The new shares, when held in treasury by the Company, will not
carry voting rights or any other shareholder rights in the Company.

Trading in the new shares will commence on the official list of NASDAQ OMX
Helsinki Ltd in July 2014.
