Athabasca Nuclear Corporation Appoints Corporate Secretary

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwired - Jul 11, 2014) - Athabasca Nuclear Corp. (TSX VENTURE:ASC) ("Athabasca Nuclear" or the "Corporation") is pleased to report that it has appointed Brent Walter as Corporate Secretary.

Mr. Walter is a lawyer with Calgary-based ProVenture Law LLP. Mr. Walter's practice emphasizes public and private equity offerings, stock exchange listings, secured debt financings and the negotiation and implementation of a wide variety of commercial agreements. In addition to his practice, Mr. Walter currently serves as a director of a number of publicly-listed companies. He also previously served as a Director of Anglo Potash Ltd., which was acquired by BHP Billiton Diamonds Inc. for approximate cash consideration of $284 million. He holds a B.A. (1986) and a J.D. (1990) from the University of Saskatchewan and is a member of both The Law Society of Alberta and The Law Society of Saskatchewan.

Mr. Walter's appointment is made effective as of July 3, 2014.
