Nouveau Monde Mining Enterprises Inc.: New High Grade Graphite Zones Discovered on Matawinie and Additional 2013 Drilling Results
GATINEAU, QUEBEC--(Marketwired - Jul 8, 2014) - Nouveau Monde Mining Enterprises Inc. ("Nouveau Monde") (TSX VENTURE:NOU) (is pleased to report that it has initiated a prospecting program on its Matawinie graphite Property. The objective of the program is to follow up on a number of electromagnetic anomalies identified through helicopter-borne surveying. The anomalies which total approximately 30 linear kilometers are covered by four newly acquired claim blocks (see March 7th and April 4th, 2014 press releases for details). Graphite mineralization has since been observed and sampled on three of the claim blocks. Results from a first batch of grab samples returned three samples over 5 % graphite (or "Cg") with the best result returning 6.31 % Cg located South-West of the town of St-Michel-des-Saints. A second batch of samples was recently sent for analysis with results expected within approximately three weeks. Prospecting on the Matawinie property is ongoing.
A targeted ground survey is presently underway over eight (8) mineralized targets using a portable time domain electromagnetic apparatus capable of detecting conductors at a depth of up to 10 m. The objective is to determine the approximate width of the mineralization at surface. Significant results from this survey will be followed up by trenching and channel sampling in the upcoming weeks.
ADDITIONAL 2013 DRILLING RESULTS
Following a review of the 2013 drilling data and results (see January 28th 2014 press release), additional core sampling was performed in April of 2014. Results from approximately 404 m of newly split core representing 204 individual samples from the 2013 drill program were recently received. A table of significant mineralized intervals including updated results is presented below (table 1.) including the addition of a 42 m mineralized interval grading 3.4 % Cg in hole GN-01.

Eric Desaulniers, President & CEO of Nouveau Monde stated: 'The discovery of flake graphite mineralization at surface on all the newly identified geophysical anomalies followed up on the ground proves the presence of a major regional widely mineralized graphite system. Moreover, the additional analysis of split core further confirms the potential of the Ti-Nou and Gros-Nou areas by demonstrating that the high grade graphite zones are enclosed within a much wider mineralized envelop.'

Nouveau-Monde would also like to add that it has recently obtained its permit from the Ministère de l'Énergie et des Ressources Naturelles du Québec to proceed with its 2014 drilling campaign on the Ti-Nou showing.
QUALITY CONTROL AND QUALITY ASSURANCE
The Matawinie property exploration program as well as the additional 2013 core sampling was supervised by Antoine Cloutier, Géo (Québec), B.Sc. A strict protocol including the insertion of duplicate and blank samples within the sample stream was adopted as part of a quality assurance, quality control (or QA/QC) program. Both duplicate and blank sample results returned within acceptable limits. Verification, preparation and sample submittal for the prospecting and core samples presented here was completed by M. Cloutier.
All samples were thoroughly washed and individually bagged prior to shipping. Samples were analyzed for graphitic carbon (Cg) content by a LECO analyzer (ALS code; C-IR18) at the ALS Minerals laboratory located in North Vancouver (B-C), Canada. This laboratory is accredited with the ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 17025 certifications. Total sulfur (or "S") as well as total carbon (or "C") was also analyzed by ALS Minerals using a LECO analyzer (ALS laboratory codes; S-IR08 and C-IR07 respectively).
The technical information in this news release was prepared by Antoine Cloutier, geo, chief geologist for Nouveau Monde who acts as a qualified person under National Instrument 43-101.
