Zephyr Minerals Ltd. announces results of annual and special meeting of shareholders and welcomes new director

HALIFAX, May 29, 2014 /CNW/ - Zephyr Minerals Ltd. ("Zephyr" or the "Corporation") (TSX-V: ZFR) is pleased to announce that at the annual and special meeting of the Corporation's shareholders held today, the shareholders re-elected Loren Komperdo, David Felderhof, John Clark, Glenn Williams and David Grand and elected Will Felderhof as directors of the Corporation to hold office until their successors are duly elected or appointed. 

The Corporation is pleased to welcome Will Felderhof as a director. Mr. Felderhof has  40 years of international experience in the mining industry. Most of the past 30 years have been spent heading-up publicly traded resource companies; most notably, Acadian Mining Corp. ("Acadian"), East Indies Mining Inc. and Jascan Resources Ltd. He was the founder of Acadian (formerly, Acadian Gold Corp.) in March 2003 and served as a Director, President and Chief Executive Officer until February 2010.  Prior to becoming involved with publicly traded resource companies, Mr. Felderhof was Vice-President and Managing Director of A.C.A. Howe International Limited, a geological and mining consulting firm based in Toronto, Canada and also Johannesburg, South Africa. Mr. Felderhof is a technical advisor to the Corporation, and a director of Orex Exploration Inc. (TSX-V).

Loren Komperdo, the Corporation's President, stated, "We are very pleased to have Mr. Felderhof as a director of the Corporation. Mr. Felderhof's extensive experience in the mining industry and capital markets will be a great benefit to Zephyr as we look ahead at growing the Corporation, and advancing our high grade Dawson gold project."  

In addition, in accordance with the rules and policies of the TSX Venture Exchange, the Corporation's shareholders re-approved Zephyr's "rolling" incentive stock option plan.  The Corporation's shareholders also re-appointed Wasserman Ramsey, Chartered Accountants, as the Corporation's auditor to hold office until the next annual meeting of shareholders or until its successor is duly appointed, and the directors of the Corporation were authorized by shareholders to fix the auditor's remuneration.
