Sabre Graphite Corp. Provides Update
Geochemical sampling at Sabre's 100% owned Burgess property in Southern Ontario has returned positive results, including high grade graphite mineralization in grab sampling from the West Zone graphite occurrence. Results are summarized in Table 1.
Sample Location Total Carbon % Graphitic Carbon % Host Rock
BR 15 Central Zone 0.34 0.31 Graphitic Shist
BR 16 Central Zone 10.9 0.55 Graphitic Orthogneiss
BR 18 Central Zone 11.8 0.26 Graphitic Marble
BR 23 A East Zone 11.4 5.07 Graphitic Paragneiss
BR 23 C East Zone 7.58 6.60 Graphitic Paragneiss
West Zone West Zone 21.0 19.14 Graphitic Schist
The West Zone at-surface high grade graphite occurrence has also recently returned positive metallurgical test results. In 2010, a 750 kg composite bulk sample containing this material and material from the Bedford project produced a high purity, large flake graphite concentrate with suitable characteristics for both high-technology and industrial graphite applications. The identification by Sabre of very high grade material of up to 19% graphitic carbon in this area makes this target a priority for ongoing work at Burgess.
The Bedford and Burgess properties are located less than 15 kilometers apart and present opportunities for joint exploration and development. Both properties overlie significant flake graphite occurrences. A historical non-NI 43-101 compliant resource estimate completed in 2000 at the Bedford Property shows 2,602,800 tonnes of 3.44% to 3.52% C (graphite) Measured and Indicated, and 1,268,000 tonnes of 3.44% C (graphite) Inferred, which remains open to expansion. At the Burgess Property, nearly a century of exploration work has identified numerous zones of graphite mineralization, with the West Zone occurrence presenting excellent at-surface exposures of high-grade graphite mineralization.
Assay results are provided by Acme Labs of Vancouver, British Columbia, and are evaluated through a Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QAQC) procedure that includes the use of laboratory standards with known carbon values, and duplicated samples.
In addition the Company continues to evaluate other properties and opportunities, and with its current working capital position of approximately $2,300,000, it is in a strong financial position to advance its current projects or any suitable projects that it is evaluating.
