Troon Receives TSXV Conditional Approval

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA --(Marketwired - Jan. 16, 2014) - Troon Ventures Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:TVN.H) ("Troon" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has received conditional approval from the TSX Venture Exchange of the proposed business combination with Grenville Strategic Royalty Corp. (the "Transaction").

A summary of the Transaction is provided in the Company's news releases dated November 26, 2013, and December 18, 2013.

The Company is also pleased to announce that it has delivered for mailing an information circular, letter of transmittal and form of proxy (collectively, the "Meeting Materials") related to the special meeting of the shareholders of the Company to be held February 13, 2014 (the "Meeting") to approve, among other things, the Transaction. The Meeting will be held at 10:00am (Vancouver time) at 888 Dunsmuir Street, 2nd Floor, Vancouver, British Columbia. It is anticipated that the Meeting Materials will be mailed to shareholders of the Company on January 17, 2014.
