Dr. Alan Galley Joins Tri Orgin Board
Aurora, Ontario--(Newsfile Corp. - January 13, 2014) - Tri Origin Exploration Ltd. (TSX-V:TOE) (“Tri Origin” or the “Company”) is pleased to announce that Dr. Alan Galley has joined its Board of Directors effective immediately. Dr. Galley is Exploration Research Director for the Canada Mining Innovation Council (“CMIC”), based in Ottawa, where he works closely with 35 partner companies and lead university researchers to develop research projects in support of more effective mineral exploration in the deep, covered and remote terrains of Canada.
Alan has a Ph.D. in Geology and more than 30 years’ experience, initially as a field geologist, but primarily as a mineral deposit researcher with the Mineral Resource Division of the Geological Survey of Canada, finishing his career there after 27 years as GSC Minerals Director.
The Board of Tri Origin welcomes Alan as a new member and Dr. Robert Valliant, Tri Origin’s CEO states that “Alan’s breadth of knowledge of mineral deposits and mineral exploration techniques, coupled with his extensive list of contacts within the mining industry will be of great value to Tri Origin”.
Dr. Galley was the 2013 recipient of the Duncan R. Derry Medal, the highest award bestowed by the Mineral Deposits Division of the Geological Association of Canada. His expertise will fit very well with Tri Origin’s strategy of exploring its extensive holdings of previously underexplored, overburden covered segments of well-mineralized greenstone belts within the Canadian Shield.
