Program To Define Potential Near-Surface Gold Resource

MIRAMICHI, NEW BRUNSWICK--(Marketwired - Oct 22, 2013) - SLAM Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:SXL) (OTCBB:SLMF) ("SLAM") is pleased to announce it has uncovered and sampled a section of the Maisie zone in a trenching program at its wholly owned Menneval gold project in New Brunswick. The program is focused on the near-surface portion of the Maisie zone that is accessible by trenching.

Assays are pending on 29 channel samples cut at 5 and/or 10 metre intervals over a strike length of 213 m with an average thickness of 0.56 m. Visible gold occurs in 13 samples.

The Company is in the process of extracting a bulk sample for additional laboratory and mill testing. Grade/tonnage definition and metallurgical test results are required in preparation for a mining lease application. The 2012 trenching program indicated a 700 m potential strike length for the Maisie zone with grades ranging from 0.14 g/t over 1.4 m up to 1100 g/ tonne gold over 1.1 m in one bonanza shoot (SXL news release October 22, 2012). Future drilling programs will be required to define the Maisie zone along this strike length.
