Concerned Shareholders of Oremex Silver Requisition Shareholders' Meeting Calling for Management Change
TORONTO, Sept. 27, 2013 /CNW/ - A group of concerned shareholders of Oremex Silver Inc. (Oremex) led by Concept Capital Management Ltd. and Sprott Asset Management LP, announced that they have formally requisitioned a meeting of the shareholders of Oremex.
The purpose of the requisitioned meeting is to remove from office all of the current directors of Oremex and to replace them with three highly qualified nominees: Mr. Frank Högel, Mr. Allan Folk and Mr. Keith Stein. The concerned shareholders believe that the current board of directors and management of Oremex have failed shareholders consistently failing to act in the best interests of the company and its shareholders. Now is the time for the company to have the management that is aligned with shareholders to ensure the preservation of the company's key assets and value for its shareholders.
The concerned shareholders have requested that the requisitioned meeting occur by no later than Friday, November 1 2013. Detailed information on the director nominees and the purpose and history leading up to the requisition will be provided in the information circular that the concerned shareholders will file on SEDAR prior to the requisitioned shareholders' meeting.
The concerned shareholders have retained Kingsdale Shareholder Services Inc. to provide strategic advice and proxy solicitation services.
