Archean Star Resources Inc.: Announces Change of Officers

VANCOUVER, September 11, 2013 - Archean Star Resources Inc. (TSX VENTURE:ASP) (the "Company") is pleased to announce that Aidan Nania has been appointed as President and Interim Chief Executive Officer of the Company, effective September 5^th, 2013.

Aidan Nania stated, "I am pleased to be a part of a company with a clear focus on exploration and development of its mineral projects, and further expansion in the United States. I believe that my skill set and experience will further strengthen the excellent capabilities of the newly elected Board.

"The Company is also pleased to announce the appointment of Anthony Jackson as Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Jackson serves as Chief Financial Officer for Altan Rio Minerals Limited and Altan Nevada Minerals Limited, both TSX.V listed companies. He is a principal of BridgeMark Financial Corp. and a founder of Jackson & Company Chartered Accountants, a company that assists private and public companies with their accounting and tax requirements. Mr. Jackson spent a number of years at Ernst & Young LLP before working as a senior analyst at a boutique investment banking firm. Mr. Jackson earned a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Simon Fraser University, and holds the professional designation of Chartered Accountant (CA), where he is a member of the BC and Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants. Mr. Jackson has had extensive experience as a director and CFO of numerous publicly traded corporations in the metals and mining industry.

Archean Star Resources Inc., is a junior exploration company listed on the TSX Venture Exchange that has, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Archean Star Resources Australia Pty Ltd, earned 100% of Teck Australia Pty Ltd.'s ("Teck") approximately 88% interest, subject to a 75% back in right in such interest to Teck, in Chalice Gold Mines Ltd.'s Gnaweeda Gold Project in Western Australia.
