Gryphon Gold Corporation Files Voluntary Chapter 11 Petition
Reno, July 30, 2013 - Gryphon Gold Corporation (OTC PINK: GYPH) ("Gryphon" or the "Company") announced today that, in an effort to address certain operational and liquidity challenges, the Company has filed a voluntary petition under Chapter 11 of the United States Bankruptcy Code. The petition was filed in the United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Nevada (Reno, Nevada).
Also, on July 22, 2013, the Company was served with a civil complaint to appoint a receiver. The complaint was filed in the Second Judicial District Court for the State of Nevada in Reno by certain shareholders of the Company. On July 24, 2013 Gryphon Gold Corporation was served with a notice of hearing for July 30, 2013 in connection with the civil complaint.
