Bralorne Gold Mines Ltd. Operation Suspended
On July 15, the mine operation was suspended by the Mines Inspector pending compliance with inspection orders.
Surface operations were shut down until fire-fighting capacity is improved. The Ministry has requested the Company to enter into a mutual aid agreement with the community volunteer Bralorne Fire Protection Association at the cost of Bralorne, or alternatively to develop similar fire-fighting capability at the mine site. Underground operations were also shut down pending compliance with other outstanding orders.
The Company is working to address these issues and aims to fulfill all of the requirements and resume operations as soon as possible.
Bralorne is currently an exploration stage project with gold production that generates incidental revenue which is used to partially offset expenditures. The Company is conducting exploration and development with the goal of achieving a sustainable operation with increased gold production. The Company is committed to improving the health and safety at its operations site.
